חֵילָהf. = חוֹלָה II, dance, song; rejoicing. Midr. Till. to Ps. 48:14 ד״א לח׳ לשירה another interpretation (v. חַיִיל), lḥelah (Ps. l. c.) means, to song; עתידהקב״ה לעשות ח׳וכ׳, v. חוֹלָה II.Deut. R. s. 1 (ref. to התחולל Ps. 37:7) when afflictions befall thee, קבל אותן בח׳ receive them with rejoicing; (Yalk. Ps. 729 כחוֹלְלִים like dancers).
